Homeschooling – from the extreme to the mainstrem
Detta är en utmärkt sammanfattning av forskningen på hemundervisning med en mängd referenser av det kanadensiska Fraser-institutet. Så här inleds sammanfattningen:

"This paper has established that home schooling is a thriving educational movement both in Canada and the United States. It has also empirically demonstrated that the academic and socialization outcomes for the average home schooled child are superior to those experienced by the average public school student."

Academic statistics on Homeschooling
En sammanställning av amerikansk forskning och statistik på det akademiska utfallet av hemundervisning. Slutsatsen är denna:

"These statistics point to one conclusion: homeschooling works. Even many of the State Departments of Education, which are generally biased toward the public school system, cannot argue with these facts. Not only does homeschooling work, but it works without the myriad of state controls and accreditation standards imposed on the public schools."

Home Schooling and the Question of Socialization
Detta är en artikel publicerad i en av USA:s två mest välrenomerade vetenskapliga tidskrifter för pedagogik, Peabody Journal of Education. Slutsatsen är denna:

"Research on the question of socialization suggests that children are thriving in the home school environment and that much can be learned from looking more closely at what homes chooling families are doing."
